Job Description: This is a hybrid role; the selected candidate will work a minimum of 2 days per week from HPE office in St. Laurent. We are the core UI team behind Aruba Central, a flagship platform for managing HPE Networking infrastructure. The product brings the self-driving network vision to life and helps maintain HPE Networking as an industry leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
  • Typically, 7-10+ years’ experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Typescript
  • Knowledge of React or another high level web framework (Angular, Vue.js…)
  • AI-assisted coding. You use AI as an advanced tool and you can detect slop or hallucination.
  • Quality-driven.
  • Cypress, Jest(UT)
  • Altassian tools (Jira, BitBucket) or Github is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures and design proposals at senior management levels.
  • French understanding a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the UI architecture and development of complex cloud products using TypeScript and React (or equivalent frameworks), and take ownership of specific domains when needed.
  • Translate product and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable front-end components and application flows.
  • Define and enforce front-end engineering standards, including code quality, accessibility, performance, and design consistency.
  • Support and improve the quality strategy for the UI layer by implementing and maintaining robust automated tests (unit and end-to-end), including Jest and Cypress.
  • Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure seamless integration, reliable deployment, and observability of frontend services.
  • Use AI-assisted coding effectively to accelerate delivery while validating output quality and preventing hallucinated or low-quality code.
  • Review technical designs and pull requests, providing actionable feedback to reduce risk and improve product quality.
  • Mentor and support less-experienced developers, and represent the UI engineering team in technical discussions when owning a specific topic or initiative.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and adopting relevant tools, frameworks, and engineering practices.
