About The Position

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is a leading provider of corporate trust services globally, serving clients through 48 domestic and three international offices. The Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) and Global Structured Finance (GSF) groups within U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services specialize in structured finance vehicles that issue debt and equity liabilities. These proceeds are used to acquire a portfolio of collateral, including syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, ABS, MBS, CMBS, and Mezzanine debt. The Trust Reporting function within these groups involves reviewing deal documents, establishing cashflow priorities, collecting asset activity data, reporting to bondholders, and performing trust tax reporting when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Six to eight years of relevant work experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of securitizations or asset or mortgage-backed securities.
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret data.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret trust indentures to understand reporting requirements.
  • Create technical report specifications based on indenture language.
  • Set up payment calculations in various in-house systems.
  • Receive, map, and reconcile periodic collateral data.
  • Make tax elections, file for EINs, and track residual holder transfers as needed.
  • Perform portfolio compliance tests on selected structured fixed income deals (trade testing) as required.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual payment and/or tax reports.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and disbursed.
  • Perform quality control reviews of reports to ensure timeliness and accuracy standards are met.
  • Engage in frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, auditors, and rating agencies.
