About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Trust Associate in Philanthropic Services within the Banking, Lending and Trust division of Wealth Investment Management. This role involves supporting a team of fiduciary professionals in administering a portfolio of relationships in Philanthropic Services. Key responsibilities include implementing client estate plans and ensuring accounts are managed according to sound fiduciary principles and applicable law. The associate will develop a strong understanding of fiduciary concepts, trust accounting, and trust elements. They will execute client requests such as money movement, investment implementation, and ongoing account management, while also developing expertise in Wells Fargo Trust systems and articulating internal processes to partners. A deep understanding of policies and procedures related to payments, account openings/closings, and asset transfers is required. The role demands high organizational skills, effective time and priority management, and the ability to deliver quality work within deadlines. Identifying fiduciary risks and proposing solutions is crucial, as is seeking involvement in infrastructure projects to enhance business operations, client service, and risk management. Independent communication with internal partners regarding client accounts is also a key aspect of the position.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of administrative or sales support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • Experience in Wealth Management or Retail Banking
  • Knowledge and understanding of opening new consumer & business deposit accounts, account maintenance, processing, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Technical Exceptions (TE)
  • Experience working with Affluent client relationships
  • Experience with Donor Advised Funds
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and build strong working relationships across business channels and at all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Support a team of fiduciary professionals to administer a book of relationships in Philanthropic Services.
  • Implement client estate plans.
  • Ensure client accounts are managed in accordance with sound fiduciary principles and applicable law.
  • Develop and maintain a proficient understanding of basic fiduciary concepts and principles, including trust accounting and elements of a trust.
  • Execute on client requests, including money movement, investment implementation and ongoing account management.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge in the use of Wells Fargo Trust systems.
  • Articulate Wells Fargo Trust's processes to internal partners.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of policies and procedures including, but not limited to, payments, account openings and closings, and asset transfers.
  • Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills, including time and priority management.
  • Deliver high-quality work-product within stated deadlines.
  • Identify fiduciary risk and suggest possible solutions.
  • Seek involvement with infrastructure-related projects to improve Wells Fargo Trust's business operations, client service, and risk management.
  • Independently communicate with internal partners regarding client accounts.
