About The Position

The Senior Treasury Management Officer, in partnership with the Treasury Management Sales Manager, leads the treasury management sales effort and is responsible for achieving defined sales goals through prospecting and responding to internal referrals. This position independently analyzes complex treasury needs, prepares and presents sales proposals, implements new services, and manages member relationships with sophisticated treasury management needs. This position also helps educate and train business partners through joint calling efforts and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related area or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum five years’ experience with business account sales including at least four years’ experience in Treasury Management sales required.
  • Equivalent and directly related experience may also be considered.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.
  • Must be willing to travel to branch and member business offices within Washington and Idaho.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed individual goals by leading the Treasury Management (TM) effort through mining data and portfolios for opportunities, responding to internal leads, participating in outbound sales campaigns, and using a consultative approach adjusting to the needs of various sized businesses.
  • Independently create and present written sales proposals and set pricing within defined parameters.
  • Document and track activities and results.
  • Make appropriate TM recommendations to clients by analyzing complex account statements for TM product comparisons, preparing banking services analysis and proposals and presenting to business owners and executives.
  • Maintain member satisfaction and confidence by providing the highest level of service during the sales cycle and implementation process.
  • Embrace utilization of STCU service departments providing guidance and support to service teams when needed.
  • Maximize income opportunities by staying well-informed of competitor changes, improving knowledge and skill in understanding member needs and product changes, as well as supporting changes in STCU products and pricing.
  • Increase business partner awareness of members’ TM needs and understanding of treasury products by educating commercial, small business, retail and other business partners.
  • Provide support and training to internal teams as determined by business needs.
  • Improve STCU’s TM products and services through recommending changes and collaboration with business partners including product management and service groups.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage competing demands with autonomy and self-direction.
  • Be involved in community activities and/or board service to expand network and to give back to our community.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department and the organization.
  • This includes the possibility of being assigned temporarily to other locations.
