Requirements

  • Computer Expertise: Must be proficient in Microsoft software; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a related field required
  • Two or more years of transportation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Backup Planner for multiple diverse fleets
  • Completion of projects as directed by the Operations Manager
  • Backup/Point person in the absence of the Operations Manager
  • Assist with the coaching and development of other Planning personnel
  • Manage and Coach Operations Support personnel
  • Oversee and Manage Operations Support personnel daily tasks and responsibilities
  • Semi-annual reviews of Operations Support personnel
  • Adhering to customer requests with delivery expectations
  • Managing the freight plan
  • Working within the required DOT HOS regulations
  • Lane profitability
  • Trailer utilization and trailer dwell tracking
