About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to support transportation operations and transportation support functions across the organization through effective management of our transportation vendors and service providers. This role involves bridging operational responsibilities and systems needs for effective onboarding, assessing risk compliance for all transportation vendors and service providers, and collaborating to ensure operational safety and compliance standards are achieved and maintained. The analyst will provide day-to-day support to all modes of Transportation Procurement and manage service agreements, including biennial reviews of terms across truckload, LTL, rail, ocean, and air.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
3 plus years of experience preferred.
Demonstrated expert level technical skills in MS Excel advanced formulas data manipulation macros and charting and MS Access database design and reporting functionality.
Experience with visualization tools Lumira Tableau PowerBI etc.
BI tools SAP BW Oracle etc. and other enterprise reporting and analytics packages preferred SaS R IBM Watson Analytics etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Exceptional technical and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and develop new solutions.
Superior organizational and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to build complex statistical models needed to understand issues and forecast impacts of change.

Nice To Haves

Transportation vendor and service provider technical and systems onboarding.
Bridge operational responsibilities and systems needs and functions that promote effective onboarding process.
Risk compliance for all transportation vendors and service providers.
Proactive active assessment of risk associated with safety, compliance and financial health.
Collaboration to ensure all operational safety and compliance standards are achieved and maintained.
Provides day to day support to all modes of Transportation Procurement.
Service agreement management.
Biennial review of service agreement terms across all modes of transportation (truckload, LTL, rail, ocean, air).
Understand contractual language for negotiations.
