About The Position

This position reports directly to the Training Administration Manager and is responsible for overseeing the scheduling of employees for Equipment and Safety trainings. The role involves working with Excel databases and the Learning Management system, conducting analysis to support training decisions, and managing vendor relations. The Senior Training Coordinator will also manage operations at training facilities for night training, collaborate with curriculum designers and trainers on Safety programs and New Hire Orientation, schedule agency-wide FISA trainings, and supervise the administrative team in the absence of the Training Administration Manager.

Requirements

  • Serving permanently in the title of Principal Administrative Associate, or be reachable on the Principal Administrative Associate civil service list.
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty.
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience.
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience.
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to the above, but must possess one year of administrative or supervisory experience.
  • One year of administrative or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the scheduling of employees for Equipment and Safety trainings.
  • Working with Excel databases and the Learning Management system.
  • Conducting analysis to support training decisions.
  • Managing vendor relations, including requesting services and reviewing invoices.
  • Liaising with the training Fiscal Officer regarding payments and funding.
  • Managing operations at training facilities for night training.
  • Working with curriculum designers and trainers to design and evaluate Safety programs and New Hire Orientation for seasonal field staff.
  • Scheduling employees agency wide for FISA trainings.
  • Supervising the work of the administrative team in the absence of the Training Administration Manager.
