About The Position

NV5 is seeking a full-time Senior Traffic Engineer. The major objectives or outcomes of this position include managing and working on projects in the Traffic Services Group. These projects encompass a wide range of traffic engineering services such as traffic studies, due diligence analysis, signal warrant studies, bike/ped plans, corridor studies, parking plans, traffic signal design, signal timing, ITS, safety studies, traffic control plans, striping plans, and concept designs. The role involves interacting with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, the Senior Traffic Engineer will be responsible for preparing proposals and contracts, meeting with clients to maintain positive relationships, and representing NV5 at professional functions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
Minimum of 10 years of directly related professional work experience
PE required
Excellent writing skills
Intermediate level Microsoft Office
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment

PTOE and/or AICP, a plus

Responsibilities

Interact with clients from project startup to completion.
Complete and/or oversee projects on time, within budget, and of the highest quality.

Meet with existing and potential clients and maintain positive client relationships.
Represent NV5 at professional functions.
