About The Position

Reporting to the Manager II, Communications, Research & Membership, this role is responsible for delivering information services to prospective and actual visitors to the community. This includes processing inquiries received via the Internet, telephone, mail, or other means related to tourists, visitors, members, students, City and senior government representatives, and other inquirers.

Requirements

Two years from Tourism and Travel Diploma.
Six months to one year related experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and various software.
Valid Driver's License - Class G.
Typing speed required is 50 w.p.m.
Must obtain a Criminal Record Check (CRC).

Responsibilities

Provides information to visitors at Tourist Information Centres, including brochures and other materials, and transacts sales of materials, souvenirs, and related products.
Provides information to telephone inquirers, following up with mail or e-mailed materials as needed.
Processes Internet, written, or other inquiries, sending appropriate telephone, mail-out, courier, and related information packages.
Collects and consolidates visitor information, data, statistics, and research information.
Acts as a host on tours, delivering standard tour commentary.
Provides servicing support for Sports Tourism, Conventions Tourism, Leisure Tourism, and other initiatives.
Performs various office duties such as addressing labels and envelopes, preparing mail-out materials, stocking brochures, collecting daily funds, and other assignments.
Assists in the development of brochures produced by Tourism London.
Maintains an ongoing evaluation of promotional materials to ensure a stocked inventory.
Supports membership servicing requirements at Tourism London events, including annual awards, annual general meetings, and research sessions.
Performs evening and weekend job-related duties as required.
