The Senior Tooling Engineer interfaces with production line teams, tooling suppliers, 3rd Party Tool and Die Maintenance, and other cross functional teams to optimize tool and part performance. This role will support the AP2 plant directly in troubleshooting tooling issues, leading tool improvements, managing tool repairs, and driving process improvement within the plant. The Tooling Engineer will be a key liaison between the NPI/Project teams and the plant operation, manufacturing teams, and 3rd Party Tool and Die Maintenance; ensuring that plant priorities and objectives are clearly understood and considered for the area under their ownership. Additionally, this role works with metal stamping tooling suppliers on best practice development, manufacturing process improvements, root cause analysis, problem resolution, cost analysis and maintaining existing tooling in support of GEA production.
