About The Position

Bank of Marin is seeking a Senior Title and Escrow Coordinator to join their Credit Risk Management division in their Novato, CA office. This position is responsible for ordering third-party reports (flood, environmental, title) and coordinating loan closings for commercial real estate loans, with a focus on the most complex commercial real estate loans. The role may also involve providing guidance and oversight to the Title & Escrow Coordinator position.

Requirements

Strong understanding of title reports, title policies, escrow, loan documentation, and real property insurance.
Strong understanding of different legal entities (such as Limited Liability Company, Corporation S-Corporation, Partnership), including structure of legal entities, and the implications on signature requirements and proper lien perfection.
Strong understanding of methods of holding title to real property, and the implications on proper lien perfection.
Strong understanding of environmental reports, including Phase I and Phase II reports.
Strong communication skills, with ability to quickly understand and communicate concepts both verbally and in written form.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Good understanding of interrelations of bank structure including branch system, consumer loan group, construction real estate loan group, cash management, etc.
Computer skills including, at a minimum, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Team contributor as evidenced by positive attitude toward assisting others with job responsibilities as needed and treatment of co-workers in a positive and respectful manner.
Ability to acknowledge knowledge gaps with the ability to receive and act on feedback in a positive manner.
