About The Position

At LACO Technologies, our team fabricates advanced vacuum and leak testing systems used across aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and technology industries. Our customers include organizations such as SpaceX, NASA, Apple, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman. Our welders work on custom stainless steel and aluminum fabrications, including vacuum chambers, tanks, pipe assemblies, and structural components that support advanced testing systems. This role is ideal for experienced welders who take pride in craftsmanship, quality welds, and precision fabrication. LACO Technologies designs and manufactures advanced vacuum and leak testing systems used across aerospace, automotive, medical device, and advanced manufacturing industries. For more than 50 years, LACO has partnered with innovative companies including SpaceX, NASA, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin to deliver reliable testing technology used in mission-critical products.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years TIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience welding stainless steel and aluminum
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld prints
  • Experience fitting and welding large fabrications, tanks, or structural assemblies
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, high-quality welds
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a fabrication team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience welding vacuum chambers or pressure vessels
  • Experience with pipe welding
  • Experience with fabrication equipment such as rollers, ironworker, mills, or lathes
  • Background in aerospace or advanced manufacturing fabrication

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding (GTAW) on stainless steel and aluminum components
  • Fit and weld chambers/tanks and pressure vessels
  • Fabricate components using engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Weld pipe assemblies ranging from 1/8” to 36”
  • Fabricate tanks and assemblies ranging from 4” to 8’ in diameter
  • Perform layout, fitting, and fabrication of welded assemblies
  • Inspect welds and completed assemblies to ensure quality and structural integrity
  • Maintain safe work practices and organized work areas
