The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a critical role in Bristol Myers Squibb's unique customer model, aiming to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs). The primary function of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients. This involves engaging HCPs with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue, consistent with the product label, and leveraging new ways of working. The role focuses on building and maintaining strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs, including those in private practice, medical groups, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum, serving as their primary point of contact. The TAS collaborates with other BMS functions as needed to enhance the overall Customer Experience (Cx) by addressing HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role prioritizes the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives, all while exemplifying BMS values. The TAS role is field-based, requiring significant time spent engaging with external customers.
