About The Position

Advantest Test Solutions, Inc. (ATS) is looking for a Senior Test Technician to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. ATS is a leading provider of massively parallel electronic test systems that includes System Level Test (SLT), burn in and semiconductor/module tests. Requirements

Associates degree in Electronics and/or 8+ years equivalent experience.
RMA process experience.
Strong electro-mechanical assembly skills.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills.
Proven ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.
Ability to thrive in and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

IPC-610 is a plus
Working with high voltage Systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, Test, and Repair Electronics Systems, Assemblies, Modules, and PCBA’s to component level using schematics and other technical documents.
Install and assemble New Electro-mechanical Equipment and Components including rework using soldering tools & equipment.
Perform proper use of equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, Power Supplies, etc.).
Perform PCBA testing to verify proper functionality, including executing test procedures and supporting troubleshooting using schematics, test equipment and documentation.
Execute system level testing including system bring up on fully assembled units to ensure all sub-assemblies function correctly and meet test requirements by following required test procedures.
Support high level assembly testing, validation, final test activities, collaborating closely with Test and Mfg. Engineering and compliance with engineering and quality requirements.
Assist production and Engineering with miscellaneous tasks.
Update Software and Run Tests on Existing equipment.
Perform Preventative Maintenance.
Maintain Reports and Manuals.
Enter failure data and reports into RMA Database.
Analyze and Interpret test data.
Some travel may be required primarily to local suppliers.
