About The Position

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team. This full-time position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one, and U.S. Citizenship is required. The role involves supporting the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements development, production, sustainment, and logistics. The engineer will provide Test expertise for planning, coordinating, and conducting developmental and operational tests, including developing schedules, cost estimates, and documentation. Planning for Delta Qualification (DQ) events to transition between contract phases of acquisition is also a key responsibility. The position requires coordination with various Army and test community organizations, such as the Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Cross Functional Team (CFT), ACM Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Brigade (BDE), Army Evaluation Center (AEC), Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), and test range personnel. The engineer will be responsible for formulating opinions, decisions, and the ultimate performance of tasks specified in the statement of work. This role demands experience and the ability to perform detailed and complex calculations, along with knowledge of practices and principles necessary to assess advanced systems concepts, specifications, and system integration. Additionally, the position involves providing detailed data management, reporting, analysis, and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate/GED
  • 17 years’ relevant experience
  • Requires experience and the ability to perform detailed and complex calculations plus knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced systems concepts, assess specifications, and perform system integration.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including but not limited to requirements development, production, sustainment or logistics activities.
  • Provides Test expertise supporting the planning, coordinating and conducting developmental and operational tests including developing schedules, cost estimates, and documentation.
  • Provides planning for Delta Qualification (DQ) events to transition between contract phases of acquisition.
  • Coordinates with Army Capability Manager (ACM) or user and test community organizations, including the Air and Defense (AMD) Cross Functional Team (CFT), ACM Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Brigade (BDE), Army Evaluation Center (AEC), Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and test range personnel.
  • Responsible for formulation of the opinions, decisions, and the ultimate performance of the task specified in the statement of work.
  • Provides detailed data management, reporting, analysis and problem resolution.
