About The Position

The Senior Test Engineer formulates/defines test cases based on system requirements and specification. Devises or modifies procedures to test a unit or a system as a whole. Perform test cases, documents the result, and tracks changes. Prepares detailed specifications from which program bugs will be corrected and follows up with additional tests to ensure proper functional and system behavior per spec. Implements agile testing practices, writes manual and automated test scripts, and uses automated testing tools. Develops and maintains automated test cases for initial validation of features. Participates in day-to-day Agile activities. Writes specialized testing and monitoring tools. Analyzes WSDL and Schema contracts for quality and testability.

Requirements

  • Secret clearance required.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in test engineering

Responsibilities

  • Formulates/defines test cases based on system requirements and specification.
  • Devises or modifies procedures to test a unit or a system as a whole.
  • Performs test cases, documents the result, and tracks changes.
  • Prepares detailed specifications from which program bugs will be corrected and follows up with additional tests to ensure proper functional and system behavior per spec.
  • Implements agile testing practices, writes manual and automated test scripts, and uses automated testing tools.
  • Develops and maintains automated test cases for initial validation of features.
  • Participates in day-to-day Agile activities.
  • Writes specialized testing and monitoring tools.
  • Analyzes WSDL and Schema contracts for quality and testability.
  • Reviews test plans, cases, procedures and reports for all product releases for completeness, consistency and applicability to the requirements.
  • Provides support for the development of test and support documentation and building and evaluating Test Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP).
  • Identifies, documents, tests, and verifies Incident Reports (IR) and Software, Trouble Reports (STR), and provide system impact analysis.
  • Witnesses applicable developmental testing and produce Test Analysis Reports (TAR) to document results and recommendations.
  • Delivers support to plan, coordinate and perform test events, such as Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E).
  • Supports and collaborates with external test organizations e.g., Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center’s (AFOTEC) and Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC).
