Senior Test Engineer

About The Position

The Senior Test Engineer will work with a small, cross-functional team to develop a product line from the ground up through rapid prototyping, testing, learning, and iteration. The selected prototype will serve as the basis for several products. The role is responsible for requirements analysis, test design and execution, and issue resolution for Safran Federal Systems’ Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) products. The engineer will develop and implement software and system verification and validation processes, including automation scripts, to ensure products meet their requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Related experience in engineering test.
Programming experience for test automation, such as Python or C++.
Familiarity with test tools, including SpiraPlan or GitLab, and test case management.
Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance upon hire.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of product requirements.
Work with the development team to understand requirements and design tests to validate them.
Ensure that every product requirement is linked to one or more tests.
Automate tests where possible and work toward building continuous integration and continuous development (CI/CD) pipelines.
Troubleshoot failures and propose solutions with the cross-functional development team.
Design, build, and repair test fixtures as required.
Use AI tools to increase productivity.
Provide technical support to Engineering teams.
Participate in daily team meetings.
Perform product testing and log results for team analysis.
Contribute to the documentation review process.
