Senior Test Engineer
About The Position
M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support a government contract hybrid remote/onsite for a client located in San Diego, CA. An active Top Secret clearance is required. The role involves supporting the development and implementation of a mission-focused software cloud application. Tasks may include developing Test Plans, Test Procedures, integration, and requirement sell-off. The engineer will coordinate with the program technical team to accomplish program tasks, provide technical solutions, and support system integration. Client meetings and briefings will also be part of the responsibilities, with potential for occasional business travel to client locations for product demonstrations and meetings.
Requirements
- Top Secret security clearance.
- Motivated self-starter with good problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
- The ability to engage constructively with peers and technical leads to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions.
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Understanding and application of modern software development and systems engineering practices, design principles, techniques, and technologies.
- Highly motivated and able to work well in both team and solo settings.
- Experience with developing systems engineering processes for planning development, integration, and test.
- Capable of writing detailed test procedures.
- Capable of learning new systems quickly.
- Able to read and follow procedures and flow diagrams.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 8+ years of related experience or equivalent experience, training, and/or certifications.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment.
- Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Postman, GitHub/GitLab, Java, XML, JSON, SQL, JavaScript, AWS, C2S.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of a mission-focused software cloud application.
