About The Position

Erias Ventures is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer who analyzes system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results. This role supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation, such as Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. The engineer will work with other test organizations to support T&E program integration and provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW. The role involves assisting with Level I tasks as constrained by technical training and previous testing experience, conducting research into and applying knowledge of Government test and evaluation concepts, and supporting T&E activities. The position requires planning and executing performance analysis, reviewing acquisition approaches for T&B schedule alignment, analyzing performance risk areas, specifying and adapting Modeling and Simulation for T&E use, and applying statistical analysis. The engineer will also plan and execute performance data collection, establish and employ Data & Configuration Management capabilities, and support Data Authentication group functions. Additionally, the role involves assessing operational and system performance requirements for testability and criticality, coordinating with program Systems Engineering (SE), assessing operational environments and priorities, and planning program and event level risk-tailored performance estimation and analysis. The engineer will design surveys for evaluation of Subject Matter Expert input and user estimates of performance, participate in T&E Working-level Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs) and/or Integrated Test Teams, and produce Evaluation Plans, Analysis Plans, Data Requirements, Risk Assessments, Evaluation Reports, and Status reports. The role also includes providing input to Government T&E products, designing data sampling schemes, selecting and calibrating instrumentation, ensuring test readiness, and recommending draft plans and reports. The Senior Test Automation Engineer will provide overall leadership of the T&E task, serve as the primary liaison to the government, communicate issues and solutions, ensure appropriate independence of the team, manage T&E resources and tasks, ensure quality assurance, coordinate and integrate Evaluation and Testing tasks, and drive innovation and responsiveness to program changes.

Requirements

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required.
Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Eight (8) years' experience as a TE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Four (4) years of additional TE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Reviews planned acquisition approaches to support T&B schedule alignment with decision maker needs for T&E support.
Analyzes performance risk areas to focus T&E planning.
Specifies, validates, and adapts Modeling and Simulation for T&E use.
Applies Statistical Analysis of variations in performance behavior to characterize confidence in performance estimates.
Selects, develops, & uses analysis tools.
Executes the evaluation plan of data collected by the Testing Task.
Plans and Executes Performance Data Collection.
Plans program and event level testing for collection of data required for analysis and to sync T&E events with supported decision points.
Establishes and employs Data & Configuration Management capabilities.
Supports Data Authentication group functions; and complies with program Discrepancy Reporting criteria and processes.
Assesses operational and system performance requirements for testability and criticality to frame and prioritize T&E objectives and enable evaluation planning.
Coordinates with program Systems Engineering (SE) and reviews T&E-related SE information to leverage functional analysis, system descriptions, parameter selection and dependencies, Modeling and Simulation, and initial performance risk assessments to inform evaluation planning.
Assesses operational environments and priorities for evaluation attention and scenario selection, and to coordinate user participation in T&E.
Plans program and event level risk-tailored performance estimation and analysis of system and operational Effectiveness and Suitability metrics & conditions, levels of T&E including inspection, demonstration paper analysis, survey simulation, and physical test.
Designs surveys for evaluation of Subject Matter Expert (SE input and user as estimates of performance).
Participates in the T&E Working-level Integrated Product Team (WIPT) and/or Integrated Test Team for coordination of evaluation plans.
Produces Evaluation Plans (metric framework, scenarios/threads, timelines, requirements/T&E cross-walk), Analysis Plans, Data Requirements, Risk Assessments, Evaluation Reports, Status reports; provides input to Government T&E products (e.g., Technology Readiness Assessments, Test & Evaluation Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, T&E Plans & Procedures and Test Readiness Reports).
Designs data sampling schemes to optimize the information/resource balance and to control testing uncertainties.
Selects, coordinates. and calibrates instrumentation, collection and data management tools, targets, and facilities.
Ensures test readiness including training of test event participants re conduct of the event; equipment readiness, and security, legal, and privacy compliance arrangements.
Participates in T&E WIPT and/or Integrated Test Team for coordination of data collection plan.
Executes Testing and Data Collection per plan.
Produces associated Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports/Briefings, Data Management Plan.
Defines and provides technical direction and guidance for the Level 1 tasks to the Level 0 and Level 1 TEs assigned to the task.
Recommends draft plans and reports from the Level 1 tasks for approval by the task leader.
Works directly with the Government sponsor to coordinate task implementation.
Maintains knowledge of current and evolving agency, national, and international standards applicable to the system development of interest.
Provides overall leadership of the T&E task and serves as primary liaison to the government for supporting contract coordination and task execution.
Communicates issues and solutions to the broader government and contract management structure as requested by Leadership.
Ensures the appropriate level of independence of the team from the solution provider to support government management of objectivity risk.
Manages T&E resources and tasks; ensures quality assurance of test processes and product.
Coordinates and integrates Evaluation and Testing tasks and products.
Participates in T&E WIPT and/or integrated Test Team as needed to ensure proper coordination of T&E activities.
Drives innovation and responsiveness to program changes and evolving T&E status to help manage program risk; develops alternative courses of action, work-arounds, and fall-back positions with a recommended course of action for each risk and monitors and re-evaluates risks at appropriate milestones.
