About The Position

Eaton’s eMobility Division is currently seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our team at our Marshall, Michigan facility. The Senior Test Engineer leads advanced test planning, execution, and reporting for product development and validation activities. This role provides technical leadership in test stand and fixture development, instrumentation, data acquisition, troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuous improvement across the laboratory. The position works closely with product engineering, lab operations, safety, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure test methods, equipment, and data meet technical, safety, and quality expectations throughout the full lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3+ years of engineering experience in a research and product development environment.
  • Previous experience supporting an engineering or manufacturing organization.
  • Candidate will not need sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Marshall, Mi.

Nice To Haves

  • Product Electrical and Mechanical background/experience
  • Previous experience in Automotive/Vehicle, Aerospace, or Industrial Automation sectors.
  • iTest/CANape/LabVIEW data acquisition and controls experience
  • Knowledge of Test Lab Equipment typically found in Engineering Product Testing Research Labs
  • Experience developing and analyzing data acquisition and control systems
  • Effective communication English skills (verbal, written).
  • Significant Technical Writing
  • Significant Relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Lead test planning, execution, and reporting for complex development and validation programs.
  • Design, develop, improve, and sustain test stands, fixtures, and lab capabilities.
  • Independently configure and integrate instrumentation, DAQ systems, and control solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, controls, and test system issues and drive root cause resolution.
  • Lead commissioning, safety, and Management of Change activities for new or modified equipment.
  • Mentor engineers and technicians and support continuous improvement of lab operations and test methods.
