About The Position

INTUITIVE MACHINES IS SEEKING A SENIOR TEST CONDUCTOR ENGINEER ON THE NASA OMES III CONTRACT. THE SENIOR‑LEVEL TEST CONDUCTOR WILL SUPPORT NASA GSFC INTEGRATION AND TEST (I&T) ACTIVITIES, OVERSEEING EXECUTION OF SYSTEM‑LEVEL TEST OPERATIONS, PROCEDURE DEVELOPMENT, GROUND SYSTEM CONFIGURATION, AND COORDINATION ACROSS MULTIDISCIPLINARY ENGINEERING TEAMS. THE LEAD TEST CONDUCTOR SHALL ENSURE ALL TEST OPERATIONS COMPLY WITH GSFC STANDARDS, PROJECT‑SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS, AND I&T BRANCH PROCESSES. THE POSITION IS IN GREENBELT, MD

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or related fields.
  • Multiple years of senior experience leading test conductor teams
  • Expert proficiency with ITOS/ASIST or related Ground data system
  • Expert proficiency writing, testing and maintaining STOL scripts for automated command generation and hardware test execution
  • Expert proficiency in writing environmental test plans and procedures and work order authorizations

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain GSFC‑compliant test procedures, command sequences, Work Order Authorizations (WOAs), and run‑plans in alignment with system requirements and ICDs.
  • Ensure procedure packages meet all configuration management, safety, and documentation standards.
  • Write, test, and maintain STOL scripts for automated command generation and test execution, including procedure dry‑runs and integration into environmental test campaigns.
  • Develop and manage ITOS/ASIST or equivalent ground system databases, including telemetry page development, command dictionaries, and system displays.
  • Develop telemetry visualization pages, trending tools, and autogenerate command pages/scripts to support efficient flight/ground interface testing.
  • Coordinating with flight software, avionics, and EGSE leads to ensuring data consistency and command validity.
  • Conduct real‑time test operations during ambient and environmental test campaigns (e.g., TVAC, vibe, EMI/EMC), ensuring adherence to test constraints, configuration controls, and safety rules.
  • Monitor telemetry, verify command execution, notify engineering product development leads of anomalies, and lead test anomaly resolution activities as required.
  • Maintain configuration status of testbeds, hardware setup, ground systems, cables, and instrumentation
  • Support subsystem level ambient testing and System level ambient and environmental testing.
  • Support I&T Manager and Deputy I&T Manager and interface with System Engineers, PDLs, and project leadership to ensure clear communication of schedule, risks, resource needs, and technical issues
