About The Position

This role supports services provided to the federal government or federal government contractor and therefore requires US Citizenship. Proof of citizenship status will be required at time of hire. We’re looking for a Senior Technology Vendor Program Manager to help drive governance, clarity, and execution across our technology supplier and software portfolio. In this role, you’ll partner across teams to ensure our technology investments are intentional, well-managed, and delivering real value, the main focus is on governance, performance, and execution. This is a high-visibility individual contributor role where you’ll translate portfolio strategy into measurable outcomes—bringing structure, transparency, and accountability to how we manage vendors and platforms.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in technology program management, vendor management, or portfolio governance
  • Experience working with technology vendors (SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or platforms)
  • Strong understanding of vendor performance metrics (SLAs, KPIs)
  • Comfort building and improving processes in evolving environments
  • US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Strategy & Lifecycle Management: Maintain a clear view of vendor and application strategy, ownership, and lifecycle. Support planning across key stages: sustain, enhance, modernize, and retire. Facilitate regular portfolio reviews to track progress, surface risks, and drive decisions.
  • Vendor Governance & Performance: Build and maintain vendor scorecards (SLAs, performance, usage, satisfaction). Track issues, manage escalations, and ensure follow-through to resolution. Help ensure vendors deliver on commitments and business expectations.
  • License & Usage Management: Lead regular license and usage reviews (e.g., purchased vs. used vs. needed). Partner with teams to reclaim unused licenses and reduce waste. Provide clear insights to support planning and renewal readiness.
  • Risk & Compliance Coordination: Partner with Security, Risk, and Legal teams to track vendor risk and compliance requirements. Maintain visibility into risk status and help ensure timely remediation.
  • Renewal Readiness Support: Prepare structured insights ahead of renewals (usage, performance, risks, needs). Enable informed decision-making; Strategic Sourcing leads negotiations.
  • Financial & Portfolio Insights: Analyze usage trends, cost drivers, and portfolio performance. Identify inefficiencies and support cost optimization efforts. Contribute to planning and forecasting discussions with data-driven insights.
