Senior Technology Strategist, Digital Strategy

PresidioWoburn, MA
Hybrid

About The Position

The Technology Strategist is a dynamic, experienced management consultant at the intersection of strategy and delivery. This role joins Presidio's Digital Strategy team — a high-performing group of management consultants driving AI-enabled, modern technology transformations for clients across IT, AppDev, Product, Customer Service, and more. Our ideal candidate wants to help clients thrive in VUCA environments: volatile, uncertain, chaotic, and ambiguous. They bring deep consulting knowhow — honed in Big Four or equivalent environments — paired with fluency in cloud-smart platforms, modern delivery practices, and the emerging AI landscape. They’re a generalist by nature and a strategist by instruction: equally comfortable building a technology roadmap, running a client workshop, or shaping a compelling point of view on AI adoption. This is a developing role on a growing team. You will be mentored by senior practitioners and expected to grow rapidly into a trusted client advisor, capable of leading workstreams and ultimately full engagements with increasing independence.

Requirements

  • Management consulting excellence sharpened by at least four years with a Big Four firm — structured thinking, client presence, communication, and delivery discipline
  • Enterprise technology strategy, operating model design, and large-scale transformation leadership
  • Cloud-smart platform strategy (any major cloud provider) and application modernization
  • Executive stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and governance
  • Metrics-driven decision making and delivery assurance
  • Risk identification and proactive escalation in complex, multi-workstream engagements
  • Working knowledge of AI concepts and enterprise AI adoption patterns
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years in management consulting, enterprise technology strategy, or digital transformation
  • Demonstrated track record in client-facing delivery roles, ideally with Fortune 500 or mission-critical environments
  • Experience working across multiple technology domains (cloud, application delivery, infrastructure, data/AI) at a strategy level

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SRE principles and platform reliability operating models
  • AI platform familiarity — including GPU workloads, MLOps, or AI Factory constructs
  • FinOps and cloud cost governance
  • Experience in regulated or high-availability environments
  • PMO, portfolio management, or product operating model transformation

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead workstreams across multi-phase technology transformation engagements, including operating model design, capability assessments, roadmap development, and governance frameworks.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies — spanning cloud platforms, application delivery, infrastructure modernization, and digital operating models.
  • Contribute meaningfully to AI strategy conversations: help clients assess AI readiness, identify use cases, and develop pragmatic adoption roadmaps. Deep AI expertise is not required; intellectual curiosity and a structured approach to emerging technology are.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, from working-level practitioners to director and VP-level leaders. Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and executive briefings with confidence.
  • Apply rigorous, hypothesis-driven analytical frameworks to diagnose complex technology and organizational challenges and develop clear, defensible recommendations.
  • Track progress against milestones, identify risks, and escalate issues proactively — maintaining delivery discipline across active engagements.
  • Define and monitor success criteria for client engagements — including availability, automation coverage, MTTR, cost targets, and capability maturity benchmarks — ensuring measurable value delivery.
  • Contribute to team knowledge assets, proposals, and thought leadership. Collaborate with Account Managers and DSAEs to support pipeline development.
