About The Position
We're hiring a Senior LOB Risk Specialist in Dallas to support a major U.S. bank's First Line technology risk organization. We're looking for someone with strong banking experience across technology/operational risk, RCSA, risk and controls, issue remediation, and GRC/Archer. This is a highly visible role partnering directly with technology leadership, Compliance, Legal, Audit and other risk organizations to identify emerging risks and strengthen the bank's risk and control environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience with the creation review/maintenance in the operational/technology risk programs
- Proficient in power point, excel, SharePoint
- GRC tool experience (Archer preferred)
- Development and management of internal risks and controls
- Experience with technology risk within Financial institutions
- Microsoft Office Suite
- 1st Line of Defense risk experience
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of banking/financial services experience, with several years in First Line Technology Risk, Operational Risk, Business Risk & Controls, or Technology Controls
- Hands on experience identifying risks, designing/maintaining controls, executing RCSAs or comparable risk assessments, managing issues/remediation, working in Archer/eGRC, and partnering with Technology, Compliance, Legal, Audit and 2LOD Risk
Responsibilities
- Establishes Line of Business risk management strategy and oversees the execution of the risk management programs.
- Serves as an advocate for the risk management program.
- Ensures the risk management strategies and programs are established, maintained and enhanced to support the businesses in managing their risks while meeting business and regulatory expectations.
- Oversees the timely and proper execution of the risk management program within and/or across the lines of business.
- Includes consultation to execute the program components.
- Provides risk expertise while working with the businesses and other risk partners (e.g., Compliance, Credit, Legal, Audit).
- Monitors changes in internal and external factors and identifies emerging risks.
- Leads and engages cross functional teams and develops internal capabilities.
