We play a critical role in enabling the business to grow and expand into new product areas. Our work ensures Qualcomm engineers and business functions operate on leading public and private cloud infrastructure (servers, storage, networking), and leverage best-in-class collaboration tools and end user devices. This role supports the entire budget and procurement of the EIS organization. You will support day-to-day operations of a global IT team in terms of finance/budgeting, procurement, process analysis/improvement, and writing business cases. You will also be joining a small team that values doing the right thing, doing things the right way, and succeeding together. This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Expert in at least two of: Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, SQL
  • Strong verbal as well as written communication skills, especially for executive-level audiences
  • Structured approach, ability to break down complex issues, strong organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset to generate insights out of any kind of data
  • Willingness to take ownership of issues and ensure all interested parties are kept informed of progress in order to deliver solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Management consulting experience, or IT infrastructure (datacenter, servers, networking, etc.) experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Creating, tracking, and managing annual budgets throughout the year
  • Act as a liaison between highly technical teams, Engineering, and Finance. You represent the business perspective.
  • Help with critical procurement, finance, and project portfolio analysis and improvements
  • Provide regular review of finances, both forward looking and retrospectives
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to enable decision-making
  • Evaluate existing processes, gather requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions
  • Assist in the creation of standard KPIs, templates, and other artifacts
  • Help develop executive-level communications
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends and patterns
