About The Position
Join NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as a Senior Laboratory Technologist in the Special Hematology/Coagulation area of the Central Laboratory at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for performing all patient tests, quality control procedures, and standard preventative maintenance. As a Senior Technologist, you will also have responsibilities for the supervision and coordination of laboratory personnel activities, under the guidance of the Lead Technologist and Laboratory Supervisor, and will relieve the Lead Technologist during temporary absences. This is a full-time day shift position with rotating on-call weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years experience in Special Hematology/Coagulation
- A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience)
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
Nice To Haves
- 6 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist
- ASCP certification
