Senior Technologist Laboratory - Cytogenetics - Day Shift
About The Position
As the largest and busiest Cytogenetics department in New York, we set the standards for our field. Our technologists are conducting the widest array of testing in this fast-paced, high-volume environment. Here, you will gain more experience with analysis not being performed anywhere else. Take the next step in your career and join the team as a Senior Laboratory Technologist. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will assume some supervision and coordination of the activities of the laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative test. Here, you will have the ability to train and guide laboratory technologist, participate in problem-solving processes and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards, among other responsibilities. This is a full-time day shift position 10:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience)
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
Nice To Haves
- 6 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist
- ASCP certification
Responsibilities
