Requirements

  • Associate's/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in electronics testing, prototype development, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, function generators, voltmeters, high voltage power supplies, and Automated testers
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements; and/or (as necessary):
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GaN technology and discrete semiconductors is a plus
  • Familiarity with design and development tools, such as CAD software and simulation tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, debugging and setting up experiments to test new concepts and platforms, e.g. DUT daughter cards, different DHTOL(Dynamic High Temperature Operating Lifetime) setups (JEP-180 Switching Reliability for GaN Power Conversion Devices)
  • Operation, calibration and maintenance of high-voltage ( 2kV) lab equipment: electronic power supplies and loads, oscilloscopes, and function generators
  • Collect and analyze data to support the development of GaN, e.g., reference testing result review, in-situ log upon failure, etc
  • Perform assembly, wiring, and rework of DUT daughter cards, testing platforms, and prototype boards. Perform quality checks on components to ensure they meet required specifications
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, tests, and results. Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including design files, test procedures, and user manuals. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company standards
  • Order, organize, and prepare components and materials required for R&D projects. Maintain an inventory of parts and ensure availability for ongoing and upcoming tasks. Ensure the workspace is organized, clean, and adheres to safety standards
