About The Position
This role is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and audit readiness of assigned laboratory areas, ensuring compliance with operational standards and safe laboratory practices. The technician will serve as the primary asset owner for assigned lab equipment, overseeing maintenance, repairs, calibration, and contributing to equipment acquisition and retirement decisions. They will also provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and technical training to junior technicians, modeling best practices and safety-first behaviors. Key responsibilities include leading the fabrication, qualification, verification, and validation (V&V) of complex test fixtures, executing development and verification testing with limited oversight, and ensuring accurate, compliant documentation by consistently following Good Documentation Practices (GDP). The role also involves managing laboratory logistics, including inventory control and proactive supply purchasing, and continuously identifying and implementing opportunities to improve lab efficiency, expand testing capabilities, and enhance overall service offerings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25-40 lbs.
- Ability to interpret test protocols, technical manuals, and supplier agreements
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment

- Manage laboratory logistics, including inventory control and proactive supply purchasing, balancing engineering needs, business priorities, and budget constraints.
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve lab efficiency, expand testing capabilities, and enhance overall service offerings.
