About The Position

Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their local and regional team. This role involves maintaining and repairing Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment. The technician will utilize hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs and will use a work order management system to receive and document repair activities. Prompt response to emergency maintenance calls is also a key part of the role, as is inspecting, operating, and testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Requirements

18 years or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years' experience in one of these trades.
1 year's experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Can lift up to 75 lbs.
Can Move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
1 year’s experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely
