About The Position

Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join its local and regional team. This role involves maintaining and repairing Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills. The technician will utilize a work order management system to receive and document repair activities, respond to emergency maintenance calls, and inspect, operate, and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues. Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years' experience in one of these trades.
  • 1 year's experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Can lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Can Move up and down ladders frequently
  • Comfortable working at heights frequently
  • Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
  • Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
  • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
  • No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
  • Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
  • Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
  • Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
  • Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
  • Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely
