About The Position

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Technician-Equipment (Diffusion) for their Fab 4 facility in Gresham, Oregon. This role is crucial for supporting the maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment within Fab 4. The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. This position operates on a front night compressed work week shift, working Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Saturday from 6:15 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

AA degree in a technical field OR equivalent semiconductor industry experience, military training or technical degree.
7+ years of experience in Diffusion equipment maintenance.
Solid organizational, documentation and writing skills.
Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Self-directed, self-motivated.
Proficient with MS Office products.
Participation as an active member of the Fab 4 ERT (Emergency Response Team).
Ability to meet the requirements of the ERT physical.
Must pass a physical, fit test and medical clearance for the usage of a tight-fitting respirator (SCBA full face mask level).
Must maintain physical requirements for wearing SCBA full face mask level.
Must be able and willing to travel for training purposes.

Experience with AMAT Centura Systems

Responsibilities

Repair and Maintain TEL Alpha 8 furnace systems.
Repair and Maintain AMAT/AG RTP systems.
Read and interpret mechanical prints and electrical/electronic schematics.
Work with systems containing radiation, electrical, mechanical, liquid and gas hazards.
Practice effective and productive written and verbal communication.
Document work in maintenance logs effectively.
Follow procedures and instructions.
Contribute as a reliable and effective team member with minimal supervision.
