Writes and edits technically complex documents related to NSF programs, policies, and scientific initiatives. Translates scientific, technical, and policy information into clear, plain-language content for non-expert audiences. Drafts and edits guidance documents, reports, fact sheets, policy summaries, and web content. Conducts detailed editorial reviews to ensure clarity, consistency, structure, and technical accuracy. Collaborates directly with scientists, program officials, and policy staff to validate content accuracy. Ensures all written products comply with AP Style, NSF style guidelines, Plain Writing Act, and Section 508 requirements. Supports content development for potentially sensitive or high-visibility topics. Provides quality control and final editorial review prior to publication.
