About The Position

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will help ensure the successful delivery and optimization of technical solutions supporting a value stream team. The role bridges business needs and technical implementation by analyzing complex systems, defining detailed requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of end-to-end capabilities aligned with team objectives. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, testers, and stakeholders to understand business processes, document system behaviors, identify gaps, and translate strategic goals into actionable stories and technical specifications. Solution designs should be modern, flexible, scalable, and decoupled whenever possible. The position focuses on data engineering and AWS-based data solutions, including data modeling, transformation, integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipelines. It also involves working with relational databases and SQL, Python, system architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and data integration patterns. The analyst works directly with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and document requirements and support technical delivery.

Requirements

Strong data engineering experience, including data modeling, data transformation, and data integration.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based data solutions.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Experience with Python for data processing, querying, validation, and automation.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
Experience with data mapping and transformation logic.
Understanding of system architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and data integration patterns.
Ability to read and interpret system architecture diagrams and technical specifications.
Experience with GitHub or other version control systems.
Understanding of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira.
Familiarity with secure data handling, particularly sensitive financial data and PII.
Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
Ability to create clear technical documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AWS CDK or Infrastructure as Code.
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
AWS certifications.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and specifications aligned with project objectives.
Design and support the implementation of scalable, flexible, and efficient technical solutions.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, and stakeholders to align business needs with technical delivery.
Evaluate existing systems, architectures, and processes to identify opportunities for optimization, integration, and improvement.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and technical processes.
Perform technical assessments and support solution delivery, ensuring quality standards and project timelines are met.
Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues during implementation and after deployment to minimize business disruptions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
Recommend architectural improvements and technical best practices to enhance system scalability and performance.
