About The Position

The Senior Technical Systems Analyst will be joining the Data Delivery Middleware team. This is a developer role that will be responsible for code development, testing and support for multiple ongoing projects. This role is important in providing timely solutions to ongoing work efforts on the team and for the many application users involved with them.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of C coding language
• Prior experience as a developer in a z/OS Mainframe application team
• Ability to work collaboratively within a Team, Cross-functionally; while managing individual tasks, priorities and accountabilities

Nice To Haves

• Experience with REXX, z/OS ASSEMBLER, Cobol, JCL, IMS, CICS, ServiceNow
• Experience with source management and deployment tools: Github, Helios, UCD, HSDS
• Experience with ServiceNow Change Records

Responsibilities

• Work on development of the code base in order to uplift and modernize.
• Fix bugs, rewrite functions and develop new code as needed.
• Ensure stability in pre-production and production environments
• Work through projects from developing changes, testing, implementation and support
• Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate
• Develop tools/solutions to troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Work with multiple different stakeholder teams on projects/issues to support in diagnosing and remediating any issues that arise
• Look for opportunities to improve existing processes
• Take part in Weekend Maintenance activities
• Provide after-hours support when holding the Team Pager
