About The Position

Davies is looking for a skilled, motivated professional to join our specialist subsidence division. This is a home-based role with travel, ideally based around the Leeds area. The role involves managing complex subsidence investigations, providing expert guidance, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will also play a key role in strengthening client relationships and supporting other Davies divisions when needed.

Requirements

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • Strong experience in subsidence investigation and building pathology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work independently
  • A flexible mindset and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of buildings insurance, contract administration and construction law
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • Enthusiasm, professionalism and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

Responsibilities

  • Managing complex subsidence investigations from first visit to final resolution
  • Visiting damaged properties to assess structural, technical and insurance-related issues
  • Designing and overseeing stabilisation schemes and repair strategies
  • Producing high-quality technical reports, specifications and tender documents
  • Interpreting geotechnical investigations and advising on foundation solutions
  • Administering building contracts, valuations and variations
  • Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Planning, CDM and Party Wall legislation
  • Working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and local authorities
  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues, and contributing to training delivery
  • Maintaining accurate case records and meeting service level expectations
  • Strengthening client relationships
  • Supporting other Davies divisions when needed
