About The Position

Brex is seeking a Senior Technical Sourcer to join their team. This role is strategic and focuses on identifying, engaging, and building pipelines of world-class technical talent. The Senior Technical Sourcer will collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and technical leaders to understand role requirements and develop proactive sourcing strategies. The position requires creativity, persistence, and strong business acumen to engage passive candidates and position Brex as an employer of choice. A key aspect of this role is strengthening diversity sourcing strategies and continuously improving sourcing processes and tools.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience sourcing for technical roles (e.g., software engineering, infrastructure, data, product, AI) in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced sourcing techniques, Boolean search, talent mapping, and market research.
  • Strong understanding of technical skill sets, engineering org structures, and emerging technology trends.
  • Proven ability to engage and convert passive candidates through thoughtful, personalized outreach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with technical leaders.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using sourcing metrics to refine strategy and improve results.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority searches simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience sourcing for AI/ML, agentic AI, or other emerging technical domains.
  • Experience recruiting or sourcing across multiple geographies (e.g., US, Canada, LATAM).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Gem, Greenhouse, or other modern sourcing and CRM platforms.
  • Experience contributing to employer branding, talent marketing, or community-building initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing strategies for technical roles across engineering, data, product, AI, and other specialized functions.
  • Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and talent mapping to inform hiring strategies and pipeline development.
  • Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through creative outreach across platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, and other talent networks.
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to align on candidate profiles, calibrate talent, and refine search strategies.
  • Build and nurture long-term talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles, including future-facing skill sets.
  • Champion diversity sourcing initiatives to attract underrepresented technical talent.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sourcing metrics to continuously optimize outreach effectiveness and pipeline health.
  • Maintain accurate candidate data and activity tracking within recruiting systems and dashboards.
  • Contribute to process improvements, sourcing best practices, and knowledge sharing within the recruiting team.
