About The Position
Join our Global Technical Solutions Architecture team as a Senior Technical Solutions Architect (TSA) and be at the forefront of Akamai's cloud and edge computing initiatives. You will work directly with customers to architect and implement transformative solutions. You'll collaborate with sales teams, product managers, and partners to drive innovation and customer success. The team's mission is to accelerate innovation by making computing simple, scalable, accessible, and affordable for all. We provide the infrastructure and services that enable developers to build next generation edge native applications.
Requirements
- 8yrs experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or related engineering roles and a Bachelors degree or its equivalent.
- Extensive professional customer-facing experience in technical roles with cloud-related organizations.
- Successful experience in architecting IaaS solutions for customers.
- Professional certifications from AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle and/or CNCF.
- Hands-on expertise in 3 or more domains across Kubernetes, cloud networking, database, storage, AI, IaC/CI/CD tooling, gaming, or media-streaming tech stacks.
- Experience and hands-on skills in open-source software like Apache Web Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform.
- Ability to communicate complex technical content effectively through writing, speaking, and presenting to diverse technical and business audiences.
- Proficiency in modern development practices, APIs, databases, observability tools, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Providing pre-sales support, manage and own the technical sales opportunity from discovery through to validation, deployment, and continuous adoption.
- Collaborating closely with sales, product teams, professional services, marketing, and partners.
- Leading innovation in solutions and products, identify and promote trends, and influence the global product roadmap.
- Building technical expertise and through-leadership in Akamai Cloud/Linode to support Akamai's overall business growth.
