Audubon is currently seeking a Senior Technical Safety Associate to join our
team in our Houston, TX Office.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
10+ years industry experience preferred,
Working knowledge of codes (API, etc.) and Process Safety Regulations
preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing, including public speaking to groups of up to 30 professionals.
Ability to lead teams to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
Ability to lead teams to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work related problems.
Ability to provide instruction and clarification to team members.
Nice To Haves
Bachelor’s Degree from ABET Accredited Institution preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Fire Protection & Safety Engineering preferred.
Professional Engineering Certification Preferred.
Responsibilities
Accountable for the quality of Technical Safety deliverables
Support and supervise task delegation to team, as required
Participatein audits as required
Ensure that design meets all Technical Safety requirements
Participate in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops
when required and experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification
studies and other workshops
Manage and review 3rd party studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA etc., as required
Fire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation
of Fire Water PID's, Performance of Fire Water demand
calculations, Performance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or
similar
Performance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawings
Preparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts,
Safety Signage etc.
Aid in Manhours estimation and scheduling for project proposals
