Senior Technical Program Manager, Agentic AI

Light & WonderAustin, TX
Onsite

About The Position

We are building a tight-knit, senior engineering group based in Austin, TX, tasked with creating the next generation of enterprise automation at Light & Wonder. Our mission is to design, deliver, and scale production-grade Agentic AI workflows that execute highly complex, meaningful tasks across the business. We will operate like a high-functioning startup within the enterprise: we favor shipping over process, rigorous evaluation over opinions, and strategic platform investments that make every subsequent deployment faster. We are leaning heavily into the modern Microsoft ecosystem, anchoring our architecture on the newly GA Microsoft Agent Framework (.NET), Azure OpenAI, and an advanced data backend powered by Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. If you want to build resilient, multi-agent systems at enterprise scale, this is the team. As the Technical Program Manager for our Agentic AI team, you are the connective tissue between our engineering team, the adjacent prioritization team that sources our work, and the LEAN team designing the target-state processes our agents will execute. You translate target-state designs into engineering-ready deliverables and own the rhythm of how a small, senior team ships at high velocity. We aren't looking for a traditional project manager to enforce heavy frameworks; we need someone who minimizes process overhead and maximizes engineering flow. You own the intake, execution cadence, and cross-functional coordination with Security, IT, and Legal, so engineers can stay focused on building. Done well, this role makes the team faster precisely because the program work is invisible.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of program or project management for software delivery, with at least 3 years on engineering teams shipping to production
  • Demonstrated experience running small, senior engineering teams (10-25 people) with minimal process overhead
  • Fluent with Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent; able to design workflows rather than simply use them
  • Exceptional written communication; able to distill complex technical risks into concise, high-impact status memos for executive leadership
  • Comfort operating across organizational boundaries (adjacent teams, Security, Legal, IT) without positional authority

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting AI/ML or data-platform teams, ideally shipping LLM-based or agentic systems
  • Familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma, or process-engineering disciplines - enough to be a credible peer to the LEAN team
  • Experience in regulated industries (gaming, financial services, healthcare) where compliance gating is part of delivery
  • Background as an engineer, QA, or technical PM - comfortable reading a PR description or an architecture diagram

Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake pipeline and scoring rubric to smoothly transition prioritized opportunities into engineering-ready workflows
  • Translate future-state process designs from the LEAN team into actionable technical briefs with clear, measurable success metrics
  • Facilitate a lightweight, high-velocity delivery cadence encompassing standups, demos, and retrospectives
  • Maintain a centralized, accurate source of truth for all in-flight work, dependencies, and risks across active agent workflows
  • Drive cross-functional coordination with Security, IT, Legal, and business stakeholders to minimize engineering overhead
  • Coordinate the team's scaling efforts, managing interview loops, hiring scorecards, and onboarding runbooks
  • Produce clear, concise status reporting for leadership and proactively surface cross-team risks with proposed mitigation strategies
