About The Position

Keeper Security is hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager, Enterprise Platform to own product scope, priorities, and release planning for a strategic platform initiative serving enterprise, public sector, and other highly regulated customers. The role works across Engineering, QA, Product, and customer-facing teams to convert customer, field, and executive requirements into clear product scope, acceptance criteria, and release plans. The initiative spans multiple Keeper product areas and shared services, including backend systems, Vault, Admin Console, privileged access management, secrets management, identity, and deployment infrastructure. The position calls for strong technical fluency and experience delivering software into customer-managed, private cloud, on-premises, or other highly controlled environments. The product manager should be able to discuss containers, CI/CD, Linux, networking, TLS, software packaging, cloud dependencies, and deployment architecture to evaluate trade-offs, identify risks, and help complex work reach completion. The role owns what is delivered, why it matters, prioritization, and release readiness, while partnering with technical and QA leads on architecture, implementation, and validation. The position is 100% remote from select locations. Candidates based in the Chicago, Illinois, or El Dorado Hills, California, metro areas may have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of certain Keeper contracts.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, platform product management, or a related technical product role.
  • Significant experience owning technically complex software products or platform capabilities delivered across multiple engineering teams.
  • Direct experience shipping software that customers operate in their own environments, such as self-hosted, on-premises, appliance, private cloud, or disconnected deployments.
  • Strong understanding of software installation, upgrades, versioning, backward compatibility, release planning, and support lifecycle requirements.
  • Strong technical understanding of containers and deployment technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems, networking, DNS, TLS, and common enterprise infrastructure concepts.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, build systems, container registries, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services, particularly AWS, and the role of services such as object storage, queues, messaging, and email within distributed applications.
  • Ability to understand technical architecture documents, evaluate engineering trade-offs, and participate effectively in infrastructure and deployment discussions.
  • Proven experience translating complex customer and technical requirements into clear product scope, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience leading delivery across multiple engineering teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong product judgment and ability to prioritize competing requirements and maintain disciplined scope.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers, executives, customers, and field teams.
  • Experience managing product risks, dependencies, and release readiness across complex initiatives.
  • Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted tools effectively to support product research, technical analysis, documentation, and execution.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of certain Keeper contracts.

  • Experience with enterprise cybersecurity, privileged access management, secrets management, key management, or identity security products.
  • Familiarity with zero-knowledge or end-to-end encrypted architectures.
  • Experience with software supply chain security, SBOMs, artifact signing, and reproducible builds.
  • Familiarity with open-source licensing requirements, including AGPL or similar licenses.

  • Translate customer, field, CTO, and business requirements into clear product requirements, feature definitions, and measurable acceptance criteria.
  • Drive cross-functional delivery across multiple engineering teams working within shared codebases and platform services.
  • Define release plans, milestones, dependencies, and readiness criteria across backend, client, PAM, identity, infrastructure, and platform workstreams.
  • Own product requirements for installation, upgrades, versioning, rollback, supportability, and lifecycle management.
  • Drive platform workstreams including database upgrades, logging and metrics, licensing, offline operation, customer-controlled encryption keys, and deployment reliability.
  • Partner with technical leads to evaluate feasibility, resolve trade-offs, and ensure requirements align with platform architecture and engineering standards.
  • Partner with QA to define acceptance criteria, validation requirements, and release readiness.
  • Ensure customer-managed deployment requirements are incorporated into shared platform services while avoiding unnecessary product forks.
  • Maintain alignment between customer-managed deployment requirements and Keeper’s broader cloud platform roadmap.
  • Define requirements for containerized delivery across Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Linux-based environments.
  • Define product requirements for secure software supply chain practices, including image signing, SBOMs, release artifacts, and auditable build processes.
  • Work with Engineering to identify cloud-specific dependencies and define requirements for customer-managed or disconnected alternatives.
  • Support Sales Engineering and customer-facing teams on technical evaluations, demonstrations, trials, and early customer feedback.
  • Define requirements for installation, upgrade, administration, and operational documentation.
  • Maintain clear visibility into delivery status, risks, dependencies, and decisions for Product and Engineering leadership.
  • Protect product scope and uphold core platform principles, including security, maintainability, zero-knowledge architecture, and shared-code consistency.
  • Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to improve product research, requirements development, technical analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
