Job Summary This proficient-level role champions the product vision for a balanced team of engineers and designers. You own the backlog, shape the roadmap, and make sure every release delivers clear value to users and the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years leading product or development teams (writing stories, defining acceptance criteria, running iteration planning).
  • Proven success on Agile and/or Extreme Programming teams as a TPM, Product Manager/Owner, or Software Engineer.
  • Strong grasp of cloud-native ecosystems and event-driven architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Product Design and Lean Software Development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to influence decisions across diverse roles and levels.
  • Experience mentoring others in agile methods.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry knowledge in Real Estate, Insurance, Mortgage, or Tax is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the product vision and strategy front and center.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the team.
  • Work in a balanced team of engineers, architects, and UX designers.
  • Co-lead all steps of user-centered design and development.
  • Create, own, and continually prioritize the backlog.
  • Write small, vertical user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Balance effort, risk, and value when planning iterations.
  • Decide when work is “done” and ready to ship.
  • Plan and execute releases through our CI/CD pipeline.
  • Monitor production health and respond quickly to issues.
  • Model Extreme Programming (XP) values: Simplicity, Communication, Feedback, Respect, Courage.
  • Drive the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) on time and on budget.
  • Evolve the product with new features and functionality.
  • Continuously drive innovation through balancing the business requirements and the enterprise technical direction and vision.
