About The Position

Prime Video is a leading entertainment platform offering a wide range of premium content across various devices. The US Planning & Audience Insights team within Prime Video focuses on strategy, data, and AI to drive programming decisions, audience growth, and marketing optimization. This role is at the intersection of Generative AI, customer science, and entertainment strategy, with the opportunity to directly influence content decisions for millions of viewers. The Senior Technical Product Manager will lead the Product-Tech function, owning the product vision and technical roadmap for AI-powered tools and data platforms that impact content programming, marketing, and audience strategy. The role requires an entrepreneurial approach to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and drive innovation. Collaboration with data engineers, data scientists, and BI/analytics teams is essential, as is managing a team of product managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
  • 1+ years of team management experience
  • 5+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Track record of shipping AI/ML-powered products or features

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • Experience in the entertainment industry
  • Experience working with data engineers and business intelligence engineers collaboratively
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data pipelines, and cloud-based data infrastructure
  • Familiarity with GenAI applications (LLMs, agentic architectures, RAG) in enterprise product contexts — and an ability to assess when these capabilities enhance versus complicate product design

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of internal tools spanning release planning and scenario modeling, experimentation automation, GenAI-powered content analysis, and audience segmentation — from vision through delivery.
  • Act as the primary product owner across a team of data engineers, data scientists, researchers, and BI engineers — setting project priorities, writing requirements, defining success metrics, and driving execution across concurrent workstreams.
  • Partner with an SDE team to define requirements, prioritize the backlog, and ship features for the team's flagship planning tool — acting as the primary product voice for a platform used daily by content programmers and leadership.
  • Drive the team's AI strategy: GenAI-powered content gap identification, natural language data interfaces, automated experiment analysis, and AI-generated dashboard summaries.
  • Own audience infrastructure initiatives including demographic prediction models, audience segmentation frameworks, and centralized reporting that powers PV's growth strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional programs spanning analytics, research, data science, marketing, and programming stakeholders — translating ambiguous business needs into clear product requirements and data engineering deliverables.
  • Represent the team's work to senior leadership through QBRs, CPRs, and roadmap reviews. Define success metrics and communicate trade-offs clearly.
