Senior Technical Product Manager — Customer Workflow

FutureFit AI
$125,000 - $165,000Remote

About The Position

FutureFit AI is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the Customer Workflows domain, which encompasses the entire experience of how employers, recruiters, business service teams, and staffing agents interact with their technology. This role is unique, blending product management with project management, prototyping, research, and AI engineering. The position operates within small, high-context teams where active contribution is expected from all product team members. The goal is to significantly reduce the time from identifying a customer problem to delivering a usable solution. The role requires operating at the intersection of product execution, platform architecture, and data intelligence, managing the domain's roadmap from start to finish and ensuring high-quality collaboration across product, engineering, and data teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ownership of a product area at a platform level, with the ability to articulate decisions and trade-offs authoritatively.
  • A track record of leading multi-quarter, cross-functional technical initiatives end-to-end.
  • AI-native experience, actively using LLMs, agents, and AI-assisted tools as a primary work layer, with an understanding of model capabilities, limitations, and orchestration.
  • Strong technical depth, including the ability to shape architecture discussions, evaluate AI/LLM system quality, define evaluation frameworks, and scope non-functional requirements independently.
  • Data fluency, including precise definition of OKRs and success metrics, maintaining a living metrics view, and driving data-informed decisions.
  • Proven cross-functional credibility with Sales, CS, and Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with employer/recruiter, workforce, or B2B SaaS platforms.
  • Fluency in employer and workforce development policy (e.g., WIOA service delivery, Workforce Pell, ETPL dynamics).
  • Familiarity with modern BI/analytics tooling (Looker, Snowflake, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Own the Employer & Recruiter Portal experience, performance, and activation, including feature instrumentation and health metrics.
  • Manage end-to-end workflows for business service operations on the platform.
  • Develop tools, flows, and experiences for agents, increasingly augmented by AI to handle routine tasks and suggest next best actions.
  • Define and scope agentic AI, LLM, search, and recommender applications, including candidate recommendations and automated business-service flows, setting clear requirements and evaluation standards for data and engineering teams.
  • Utilize AI agents and LLM tooling as a primary work layer for generating prototypes, drafting test plans, and synthesizing customer interviews, developing reusable processes.
  • Conduct continuous, lightweight customer research, including direct interviews, session reviews, portal data analysis, Jobs-to-Be-Done discovery sessions, and fast prototyping.
  • Author and maintain quarterly roadmaps for the Customer Workflows domain, contributing to strategy discussions, and linking employer/recruiter outcomes to ARR and mission goals.
  • Own technical trade-offs related to performance, scalability, cost, and speed; translate technical context into scoped tickets; write PRDs with clear acceptance criteria, edge cases, data requirements, and definitions of done; partner with engineering and analytics on data warehouse initiatives.
  • Act as the primary product partner for Product, Engineering, Data, Customer Success, and GTM teams within the domain.
  • Proactively brief Sales and Customer Success on major releases.
  • Mentor peers on technical scoping, evaluation frameworks, agentic AI workflows, and discovery craft.
  • Create reusable templates, decision frameworks, and playbooks to improve quality.

Benefits

  • Base salary band: USD $125,000 to $160,000 (US) or CAD $125,000 to $165,000 (Canada).
  • Compensation benchmarked to the national market for comparable roles at institutionally-funded startups, targeting the middle of the market.
  • Opportunity for growth within the salary band as experience and role proficiency increase.
  • Remote-first company with flexibility for candidates in Canada or the US.
  • Potential for travel up to once per quarter for offsites and team gatherings.
