Raytheon’s System Integration and Test Capabilities (SI&TC) is seeking a Strategic Extended Threat Shield (SETS) Technical Manual (TM) Lead. As the Strategic Extended Threat Shield (SETS) Senior Technical Manual (TM) Developer, you will serve as the primary authority and driving force behind the development and delivery of comprehensive, high-quality technical manuals for the SETS program. In this pivotal role, you will lead and mentor a team of skilled writers and illustrators, ensuring the creation of precise, user-friendly operational and maintenance manuals that enable the effective deployment and sustainment of the advanced SETS radar system. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in shaping the technical documentation strategy, fostering collaboration, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and clarity to support mission-critical objectives.

Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with MIL Standard 40051 and/or S1000D.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Eagle Publishing System or similar publishing tools.
  • Demonstrated agility with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and direction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to design and implement effective TM programs.
  • Strategic thinking applied to developing and executing TM plans aligned with business goals.
  • Proven project management skills supporting the full TM lifecycle from development through evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Technical Manual (TM) section of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), including required tasks, milestones, and dependencies; monitor progress against the plan.
  • Prepare and update monthly status reports and briefing materials
  • Coordinate and support all Safety and Engineering peer reviews for TMs.
  • Coordinate and support all Validation activities and events.
  • Participate in Customer and Contractor reviews as required.
  • Perform quality reviews of all TM-related materials.
  • Travel required, estimated at approximately 20% domestic.
