About The Position
Boston Engineering is seeking a hands-on Sr. Digital Solutions Technical Lead to drive architecture, integration, and software execution across our Digital Solutions portfolio including Logix, MREG, Magellan / ProtoXR and new emerging products. This role is ideal for a senior developer/architect who wants to stay close to the code while guiding teams toward scalable, deployable digital solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years in software development, digital products, or systems integration
- Strong hands-on coding experience across backend, APIs, web/mobile, and cloud/onprem/edge environments
- Ability to lead technical work and collaborate directly with customers and partners
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- BS/MS in a technical field or equivalent experience
Nice To Haves
- C#, Unity, Node.js, TypeScript
- AR/MR, digital warehousing, logistics workflows, OCR/computer vision, or AI/ML
- Microservices, Docker, PostgreSQL, Linux, NGINX, React, mobile development
- Cybersecurity, secure deployments, and work in defense/industrial environments
Responsibilities
- Write, review, debug, and integrate code, often spending up to 50% of your time coding depending on project phase
- Shape practical system architecture, technical roadmaps, and deployment plans
- Support demos, field trials, pilots, and customer engagements (30% travel)
- Help transition prototypes into reusable, production-ready platforms
- Mentor developers and engineers to elevate delivery quality
