Requirements

  • Associates degree in CADD, engineering technology, the sciences or related field
  • Normally a minimum of 15 years relevant experience
  • Discipline design experience
  • Proficient in project set up and start up

Responsibilities

  • Discipline designer on multidiscipline projects, multiple projects, and large, complex projects.
  • May serve as project manager on less complex projects.
  • Provides technical expertise to assigned projects including the evaluation and resolution of specific design problems.
  • Capable of performing all the duties and responsibilities of Designer.
  • Provide conceptual input to projects during the planning and execution stage.
  • Interface with engineers/architects in order to support project execution.
  • Assists in the pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Perform other tasks in support of project engineer that are non-routine and complex in nature.
  • Evaluates need for design changes and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • Uses engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Adheres to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual.
  • Performs occasional site visits or field assignments.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
  • May assist with coordination and training of less experienced designers.
