About The Position

Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) is seeking a Senior Technical Data Analyst to join their IT team in Hampton, VA. This role is responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, and presenting findings that inform organizational decision-making. The Senior Technical Data Analyst will work closely with both business and technical teams, applying a proven understanding of PAF and NPAF’s data systems to improve data collection, analysis, and usage for patient support. This position is eligible for remote work, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data analysis
Expertise in MS SQL management studio or equivalent software for data querying and processing
3+ years of experience working in a senior or leadership role
Experience working with large and complex data sets
A high degree of comfort with statistical analysis and modeling techniques
In-depth knowledge of industry-leading data management standards and concepts
Working knowledge of big data systems such as Apache Hadoop

Nice To Haves

Experience working with an offshore team is preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and implementation of a data strategy framework at the enterprise level, including Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Architecture.
Perform functions involving analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain data solutions and capabilities to solve business problems.
Conduct detailed data analysis on data used across business units to evaluate business processes and improve/create new features.
Develop and execute tools to monitor and report on data quality.
Provide expert review and technical guidance in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies.
Research, design, and implement solutions to improve and enhance current data infrastructure, focusing on integrating data from multiple systems and optimizing data access and reporting.
Design conceptual data models for optimal integration, flexibility, and scalability to meet various business use cases.
Work with the data team to provide data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers.
Serve as an active team member and/or project lead for data-related initiatives.
