About The Position

Harness is seeking a Senior Technical Content Strategist who understands the software delivery problem at a technical level and can translate it into clear, compelling content for developers, engineering and security leaders, and the broader tech community. This role is at the intersection of technology, communication, and market narrative. The strategist will develop a deep understanding of Harness's offerings and industry trends to create content that resonates with a technical audience. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing, this role will collaborate with the executive team, engineering, product management, and marketing to articulate Harness's point of view.

Requirements

  • Technical foundation (engineering degree, CS background, or equivalent experience working with engineering teams).
  • Strong instinct for communicating complex ideas clearly.
  • Broad reading across the tech industry.
  • Ability to articulate and defend opinions on software development trends.
  • Excellent writing skills: short, specific, direct, and impactful.
  • Ability to identify and eliminate filler content.
  • Comfortable diving deep into products to understand their functionality, design, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Preference for thorough understanding over approximation.
  • Ability to move fast, accept feedback constructively, and exercise good judgment on content readiness.
  • Technical fluency.
  • Sharp writing skills.
  • Genuine curiosity about the future of enterprise software.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in engineering combined with an MBA.
  • Experience in analytical or investment roles in tech (VC, strategy, research).

Responsibilities

  • Develop content that represents Harness's point of view on software delivery, AI governance, security, developer productivity, and engineering ROI.
  • Stay current on industry publications, debates, and product releases (e.g., The Pragmatic Engineer, DORA reports, VC theses, industry announcements).
  • Translate Harness's position into timely content for external platforms.
  • Monitor news and developer conversations to identify engagement opportunities.
  • Develop content angles and post ideas.
  • Write and refine content for platforms like LinkedIn, X, and others.
  • Iterate on content based on feedback.
  • Operate with ownership over the content calendar and quality of outgoing content.
