Senior Technical Consultant, Geotechnical Engineer
About The Position

This role is for a Geotechnical Engineer focused on field and interpretation work, supporting investigation planning, field execution, data interpretation, and translating findings into design and constructability decisions. It's an execution-focused role for an experienced engineer who can independently manage defined scopes. The position is based in a Worley office in Houston, TX; Calgary, AB; Vancouver, BC; or Alaska, with a hybrid work schedule. It is not intended for offshore or remote-only delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related discipline
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience delivering geotechnical engineering scopes
- Strong background in investigations, analysis, and interpretation
- Experience producing high-quality technical deliverables
- Strong communication skills
- Eligibility for professional engineering registration
- Equivalent combinations of experience and demonstrated capability will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Develop geotechnical field investigation scopes, including drilling and laboratory programs
- Support and oversee field investigation execution and contractor coordination
- Interpret subsurface conditions and develop geotechnical ground models
- Prepare geotechnical analyses and recommendations for foundations, earthworks, slopes, and buried infrastructure
- Produce customer-ready geotechnical reports and technical memoranda
- Provide construction-phase support including review of submittals and RFIs
- Coordinate with geoscience, civil, structural, and construction teams
